Dr. Lisa Billings has grappled with how to mitigate the damage of early childhood trauma on individuals’ well-being and life trajectory, and has devoted her professional life to first conducting research in this area, and then running a clinical practice that uses outcome-driven methods to help her clients live the lives they imagine for themselves.
Dr. Billings has had a private practice in central Denver for the last 15 years, where she specializes in the transition to adulthood, depression and anxiety disorders, and complex childhood trauma. After being persuaded by the growing body of peer-reviewed research on the benefits of KAP therapy, she trained and became certified in KAP therapy three years ago. She has been truly amazed by the benefits KAP has offered her clients. She joined Noma Therapy to bring KAP to a wider audience.
Dr. Billings received her BA in psychology from Dartmouth College and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Virginia. She completed her clinical internship at the Children’s Hospital Colorado.
