Gianna loves and and celebrates the diversity of people, and finds it an immense privilege to support others as they look for more meaning and joy in life, move through periods of pain and suffering, or work to improve their relationship to others and/or themselves. For nearly 25 years she has held top leadership positions in non-profit, human service organizations including those providing psychiatric and residential care, sexual assault crisis and child advocacy center services, foster care, K-12 education, and comprehensive care for those with intellectual and development disabilities. She has provided therapy to children, adults, couples and families, and persons who identify as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Much of Gianna's work and scholarly research has been with those who survived abuse and/or complex trauma. Recent and current published studies around psychedelic therapies and expanded states of consciousness and their ability to help people heal far more quickly than traditional therapy or psychopharmacology has peaked her interest, and she utilizes these and other modalities in treating persons dealing with PTSD, depression, anxiety and more.
Gianna completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at The University of Kansas and Wichita State University respectively, and completed certification in psychedelic assisted therapies at Naropa University with additional training in ketamine assisted psychotherapy with P.R.A.T.I and Fluence. She is currently a MAPS MDMA therapy trainee.
